Joey

About 10 years ago, I brought a tiny Australian Cattle Dog puppy home to my parents. He was the cutest thing you had ever seen. We named him Joey because that's what they call a baby kangaroo.

{February 2002}

He stole our hearts from day one :)

{March 2002 - ears are up!}

He is so smart. The breed is known for it's intelligence, but he still amazed us with his abilities.

{April 2002}

He has the best smile :)

{September 2008}

I had a watercolor done of him, as a puppy, for my Mom for this Mother's Day. The artist did an amazing job.

We all love this crazy dog, Joe Joe, and he means everything to my parents. He has been having some bladder issues and was just diagnosed with prostate cancer. It's very rare in dogs. If you could spare a thought for him and for my family, I would greatly appreciate it. My Mom is meeting with the oncologist today to hopefully get more answers.

xoxo,
Megan

  1. I will definately keep him in my prayers! My Boxen had a small bout with cancer and it scared us to death. I hope that there is something that they can do to help him and if not that he lives the rest of his days pain free. He is beautiful BTW!

  6. I'm so sorry to hear about Joey. I will definitely keep him, you, and your family in my prayers.

    I don't see your e-mail listed, so I'm sorry for posting this here. But I wanted to reply to your message on my blog. I don't plan on putting pics on that blog, but I do have a more personal one where I put my weekly updates with all scans and bump pics. Feel free to e-mail me if you want and I'll send you the link. wishhopethinkpray@gmail.com

  7. I'm so sorry! Thinking about your family. Joey reminds me of my Catahoula with those colors (I know the breeds are semi-related). I hope he's got several years left in him.
